Jorge Moraes scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emílio Monteiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26thth minute of the game Murilo Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SouPobre Futebol Clube's Emílio Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murilo Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Monteiro having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Claudinei Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lenílson Arce. The goal made the score 3-1. 46 minutes into the match, Anajas's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Seco came free, but Lenílson Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acácio Vieira's late challenge caught a Anajas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acácio Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SouPobre Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Acácio Vieira hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei Seco was the one to do the kick off. Acácio Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lenílson Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenílson Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind SouPobre Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Emílio Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Penha shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Claudinei Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SouPobre Futebol Clube's zone, Murilo Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Monteiro came out of the goal and Murilo Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lenílson Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Seco in the 95th minute of play. After some careless play in the Anajas defense, Claudinei Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lenílson Arce. The Anajas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lenílson Arce should have stopped the shot. The SouPobre Futebol Clube players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
