Spectators: 7171 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gil Prata took the kick off in the first half of the match. Murilo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Douglas Corinthius EC's Eliézer Neiva in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Palame's zone, Gernando Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Guedes came out of the goal and Gernando Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Palame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Prata to maneuver through the defense. If Gernando Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gernando Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Guedes having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Eliézer Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Maicon Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Douglas Corinthius EC's Eliézer Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murilo Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Gil Prata reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mário Castro. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 45th minute Gil Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Douglas Corinthius EC got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Vidal. Douglas Corinthius EC's Mário Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Douglas Corinthius EC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando Severo made a kick off. Eliézer Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mário Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 71 minutes into the game, Deivid Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palame's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douglas Corinthius EC the free kick. Gernando Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Varela in the 91st minute of play forced Douglas Corinthius EC's goalkeeper Mário Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Prata in the 93rd minute of play. Gil Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Maicon Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palame's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maicon Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Corinthius EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
