Benê Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vágner Soares having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ebelechukwu Caballeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burituranas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ebelechukwu Caballeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ebelechukwu Caballeiro to make the kick off. Nelson Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Marinho in the 53rd minute of play. Benê Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Soares having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ibirarema f.c's Nilton Carvalho got a free kick in the 61st minute. ibirarema f.c's Benê Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vágner Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vágner Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 89th minute, Rui de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ebelechukwu Caballeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Saraiva having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, ibirarema f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Ceresso to maneuver through the defense.
