Décio Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Júlio Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Freire was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Caire's zone, Benê Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Freire came out of the goal and Benê Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. Célio Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Saraiva having to interfere. In the 37th minute, one of ibirarema f.c:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ibirarema f.c. Nelson Saraiva had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Kauã Varela's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Emerson Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Leopoldo Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. ibirarema f.c's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Benê Seco made the kick off in the second half. Décio Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Nilton Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ibirarema f.c's protests and gave Nilton Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. Célio Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nelson Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Claudinho Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ibirarema f.c's Nelson Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Soeiro in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Caire getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Narciso Valle hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, ibirarema f.c's Leopoldo Furtado tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Célio Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Saraiva having to interfere. If Célio Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Caire's Célio Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Saraiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marcus Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89 played minutes, Caire's Dráusio Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nelson Saraiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caire reached it. When Marcus Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Caire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Fontes couldn't finish the play. The ibirarema f.c players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Caire from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
