Décio Freire was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Diego Marquez. In the 15th minute Célio Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Castro having to interfere. Gernando Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Décio Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliézer Neiva struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Décio Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douglas Corinthius EC. Gernando Severo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Décio Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Décio Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Eliézer Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Freire having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Hortêncio Peixoto put in a rough tackle. 35 minutes into the game, one of Douglas Corinthius EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 46th minute, Eliézer Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliézer Neiva was the one to do the kick off. When Narciso Valle came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Caire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Valle couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Caire booed when Douglas Corinthius EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kauã Varela, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Célio Soeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Mário Castro made a huge save. Marcus Fontes struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Mário Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caire. After 71 minutes of play, Douglas Corinthius EC's Eliézer Neiva made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Décio Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eliézer Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Soeiro in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mário Castro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Eliézer Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Corinthius EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Décio Freire came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Douglas Corinthius EC's Eliézer Neiva. But to his dismay, Eliézer Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Marcus Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Corinthius EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Caire for a fine match.
