If Roberto Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chascona FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Agnaldo Dias hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Família Araujo FC's Roberto Brasil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Acácio Brodel. Acácio Brodel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cleiton Maranhense charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Maranhense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Família Araujo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes, Chascona FC's Dida Leal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cléberson Mandrak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chascona FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Ramos in the 24th minute of play forced Família Araujo FC's goalkeeper Cléberson Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Chascona FC booed when Família Araujo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Perivaldo Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Roberto Brasil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Acácio Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Schmidt in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chascona FC's goalkeeper Acácio Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chascona FC's Hamílton Vianna got a free kick in the 39th minute. Tiaguinho Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Brodel having to interfere. Família Araujo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Acácio Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Maranhense in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cacá Andrade was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Cacá Andrade kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cléberson Mandrak. That made the score 2-1 in the 52 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo Mineiro during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Família Araujo FC got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Mineiro. Eduardo Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Cléberson Mandrak made a huge save. Acácio Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cléberson Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acácio Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Família Araujo FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Hílton Ramos scored to the left of an out of position Cléberson Mandrak, making the score, 2-2. Chascona FC's Acácio Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Brasil in the 77th minute of play. Acácio Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Maranhense in the 78th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Fellipe Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Família Araujo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleiton Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Brodel having to interfere. Eduardo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Roberto Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio Brodel came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Família Araujo FC's Perivaldo Mineiro. But to his dismay, Perivaldo Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Família Araujo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
