Raúl Trevisan in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. If Cléberson Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cléberson Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the ajax fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléberson Diniz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Campeão's zone, Tadeu Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Mattos came out of the goal and Tadeu Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléberson Diniz took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nildo Mattos. Nildo Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Campeão's Gustavo Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
