SuvacoDeCobra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gustavo Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Negri having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Aloísio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campeão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Pontes in the 22nd minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Campeão's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Favoretto came free, but Nildo Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wiliam Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Negri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Francisco Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Ramos in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Luiz Favoretto made a kick off. Gustavo Pontes struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Francisco Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeão. Aloísio Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Negri having to interfere. Horácio Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Mattos having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Aloísio Ramos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SuvacoDeCobra's Francisco Negri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SuvacoDeCobra's Francisco Negri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save SuvacoDeCobra from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Luiz Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Aloísio Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Negri was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Horácio Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Mattos having to interfere. Horácio Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nildo Mattos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Campeão's Nildo Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Favoretto in the 97th minute of play. The Campeão players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
