Anísio Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Chaves in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Capanga SS getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nilton Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano Severo to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Capanga SS defense, Nilton de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anísio Teixeira. The Capanga SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anísio Teixeira should have stopped the shot. When Diego Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capanga SS's protests and gave Diego Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. Capanga SS's Anísio Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Capanga SS from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Arapapa AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Capanga SS.
