The crowd rose to their feet as Pantanal FC's Luís Gustavo Teixeira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anderson Lago. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. If Joaquim Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anderson Lago made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Joaquim Vargas sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes, Juninho Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CodóCaldas - DF and the Pantanal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pantanal FC booed when CodóCaldas - DF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pantanal FC's Jano Moura shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anderson Lago but with some difficulty. If Joaquim Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CodóCaldas - DF's Juninho Queiroz got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Juninho Queiroz off the ground. Jano Moura's shot from long distance in the 45th minute was not bad at all, but CodóCaldas - DF's Anderson Lago knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Gustavo Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 52nd minute, but Giovani do Vale got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Pantanal FC hanging dry this time. Jean Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Elder Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jean Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. CodóCaldas - DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 2-2 became the score in the 70th minute when Jean Pinheiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. CodóCaldas - DF's Anderson Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Vargas in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Pantanal FC's Joaquim Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anderson Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jean Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
