Nilton Bertassi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 36th minute Jardel Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra Itália EC's goalkeeper Robinho Hoffmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mário Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Robinho Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arapapa AD. After some careless play in the Arapapa AD defense, Wilton Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilton Bertassi. The Arapapa AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilton Bertassi should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Mário Ortiz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 79th minute, Nilton de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robinho Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 84th minute, Mário Ortiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robinho Hoffmann. The goal made the score 2-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilton de Senna got free with Robinho Hoffmann in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mário Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Hoffmann having to interfere. If Mário Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
