After having played for 6 minutes, Armando Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHELSEA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CodóCaldas - DF getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jean Pinheiro hit a great ball. Anderson Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Simões in the 10th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino Simões in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anderson Lago saved CodóCaldas - DF from getting behind. In the 18th minute Dino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CodóCaldas - DF's zone, Dino Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anderson Lago came out of the goal and Dino Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CodóCaldas - DF's Anderson Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Simão in the 30th minute of play. Armando Simão struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Anderson Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SHELSEA. In the 46th minute, Dino Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to CodóCaldas - DF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Tavares hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Simão made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CodóCaldas - DF! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, SHELSEA's Armando Simão got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Anderson Lago. Hortêncio Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Passos in the 62nd minute of the match. Anderson Lago had great luck who in the 64thth minute grab hold of the ball when Armando Simão from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Armando Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Pinheiro in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dino Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hortêncio Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Passos in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SHELSEA's Rodrigo Mendonça got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Mané Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. CodóCaldas - DF's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Netto having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Osvaldo Arantes put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of SHELSEA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CodóCaldas - DF:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Passos in the 97th minute of play forced SHELSEA's goalkeeper Hortêncio Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Passos scored 4-1 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hortêncio Netto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CodóCaldas - DF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SHELSEA for a fine match.
