Dino Simões scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anísio Teixeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the game, Dino Simões recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anísio Teixeira. Dino Simões showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Waldemar Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anísio Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Simão in the 25th minute of play. Armando Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Anísio Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capanga SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Armando Simão scored to the left of an out of position Anísio Teixeira, making the score, 3-0. Armando Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anísio Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Simão in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capanga SS's goalkeeper Anísio Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Vieira in the 39th minute of play forced Capanga SS's goalkeeper Anísio Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Manuel Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hortêncio Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SHELSEA's Dino Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Simão made a kick off. SHELSEA's Dino Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute Rodrigo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, one of Capanga SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capanga SS. Fábio Vieira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SHELSEA! Anísio Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Simões in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Dino Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHELSEA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anísio Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dino Simões went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, Manuel Pires notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of SHELSEA's Hortêncio Netto. Hortêncio Netto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 87th match minute, Capanga SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Severo to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Dino Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Simões in the 97th minute of play forced Capanga SS's goalkeeper Anísio Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute of the match, Orlando Siqueira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hortêncio Netto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 100 minutes of play, SHELSEA's Dino Simões made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anísio Teixeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! SHELSEA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
