Mariola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nesca10 FC's goalkeeper Gonçalo Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Mariola's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Meirelles came free, but Rubinho Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubinho Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ernani Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Nesca10 FC fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Mariola's zone, Ernani Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Coelho came out of the goal and Ernani Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubinho Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Araújo in the 62nd minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Nesca10 FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Sergipano. Gonçalo Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Quintal in the 76th minute of the match. Silvério Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Silvério Leal came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mariola fans jumped to their feet. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nesca10 FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
