A beautiful save bye Carioca EC's goalie prevented a goal. Santastico FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evaristo Rodrigues in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Evaristo Rodrigues got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elias de Moraes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 12th match minute, Santastico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th match minute, Carioca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Berger to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Leite's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Elias de Moraes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elias de Moraes made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Juvenal Leite sent off a good shot on target. After 31 minutes of play, Santastico FC's Juvenal Leite made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salvador Boni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Zanette in the 35th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Carioca EC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Rodrigues came free, but Elias de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Juvenal Leite could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Elias de Moraes however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Freitas during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Carioca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Freitas to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Juvenal Leite fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivo Berger was the one to do the kick off. Carioca EC's Elias de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Leite in the 51st minute of play. Sydney Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Salvador Boni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias de Moraes having to interfere. Elias de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Raí Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias de Moraes having to make a save. In the 62nd minute Evaristo Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Evaristo Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santastico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Rodrigues in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias de Moraes saved Carioca EC from getting behind. Santastico FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After taking down the ball on Santastico FC's corner Evaristo Rodrigues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Elias de Moraes quite easily take care of the ball. Carioca EC's Elias de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Leite in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Rodrigues in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias de Moraes saved Carioca EC from getting behind. Luiz Paulo Barbosa replaced Juvenal Leite. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carioca EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santastico FC.
