The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, EDY3422's Mateus Medeiros got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the EDY3422 defense, Juvenal Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Andrade. The EDY3422 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Andrade should have stopped the shot. In the 21st match minute, Santastico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caco Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in EDY3422's zone, Vladimir Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Andrade came out of the goal and Vladimir Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute of the match Jairo Lira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salvador Boni skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Santastico FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Caco Ramos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Juvenal Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santastico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Santastico FC's Juvenal Leite got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When Dário Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EDY3422's protests and gave Dário Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. Dário Moraes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Santastico FC's Juvenal Leite in 74 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Augusto Andrade guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The audience was convinced that Gino de Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salvador Boni was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
