Oswaldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Berger in the 4th minute of play. Iuri Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Proença having to interfere. Ulisses Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulisses Motta in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elias de Moraes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 13 minutes into the match, Muliterno's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Zanette came free, but Oswaldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Motta in the 15th minute of play. César Abraão hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Vito Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Elias de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muliterno. Oswaldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Muliterno's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Berger came free, but Oswaldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes, César Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muliterno and the Carioca EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carioca EC booed when Muliterno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Raí Madureira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo Proença skillfully saved the ball. After 39 played minutes Muliterno got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Motta. A hard, long distance shot from David Veiga flew over the goal. In the 46th minute Sydney Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Ulisses Motta made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Muliterno booed when Carioca EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vito Jacinto's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Carioca EC's Ivo Berger made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oswaldo Proença was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the game, Ivo Berger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oswaldo Proença. Ivo Berger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Elias de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisinho Loureiro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Jacinto in the 82nd minute of play forced Carioca EC's goalkeeper Elias de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Zanette in the 87th minute of play. David Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Muliterno's goalkeeper Oswaldo Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivo Berger. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedé de Sena during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Muliterno fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carioca EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
