Thomás Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kryspin Osowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Cafu de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Ivo Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TH Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrelia AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arrelia AD's Fernandão Pena got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Cafu de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Renato Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Arrelia AD got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Queiroz. With a little luck, Arrelia AD's Kryspin Osowski got control of the ball when Thomás Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Thomás Esteves in the 27th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 30th minute, Thomás Esteves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kryspin Osowski. The goal made the score 1-0. Kryspin Osowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Félix in the 33rd minute of the match. Arrelia AD's Kryspin Osowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Arrelia AD from getting a goal against them. After having played for 41 minutes, Thomás Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TH Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomás Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandão Pena during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. TH Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimir Branco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimir Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Branco in the 54th minute of play forced TH Football Club's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kryspin Osowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 92 minutes Arrelia AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luisão Vargas who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Bebeto Linares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arrelia AD's Kryspin Osowski did a great save.
