Jonas Ceresso hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Augusto Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sydney Zanette took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Andrade. Augusto Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Iuri Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivo Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Sydney Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Augusto Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sydney Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The supporters of Carioca EC booed when EDY3422 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Moraes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Carioca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Madureira to maneuver through the defense. David Veiga in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augusto Andrade, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mateus Medeiros's late challenge caught a Carioca EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateus Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in EDY3422's zone, Ivo Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Andrade came out of the goal and Ivo Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, EDY3422's Augusto Andrade got control of the ball when Ivo Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sydney Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Carioca EC's Sydney Zanette ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Augusto Andrade. Augusto Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Ivo Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Augusto Andrade made a huge save. Carioca EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
