Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Simão to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in TH Football Club's zone, Jano Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Renato Brodel came out of the goal and Jano Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomás Esteves had several of the New Life's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Carlos Alberto Travassos as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Thomás Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Teodoro Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. TH Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a little luck, New Life's Carlos Alberto Travassos got control of the ball when Thomás Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Rony Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
