EDY3422's Augusto Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Zanette in the 5th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game, Sydney Zanette fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Augusto Andrade having to interfere. In the 13th minute Raí Madureira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 14th minute, Dário Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Berger struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Augusto Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carioca EC. Elias de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Moraes in the 22nd minute of play. Ivo Berger took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Andrade. Augusto Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Claudinho Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Dário Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the EDY3422 defense, Ivo Berger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Andrade. The EDY3422 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Andrade should have stopped the shot. Ivo Bergers short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Augusto Andrade to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Augusto Andrade made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ivo Berger sent off a good shot on target. If Ivo Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Zanette in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 47 minutes into the game, Dário Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Elias de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gino de Queiroz made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ivo Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carioca EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Carioca EC's zone, Gino de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias de Moraes came out of the goal and Gino de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sydney Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Ivo Berger made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Andrade. EDY3422's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Jonas Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Augusto Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Berger in the 81st minute of play forced EDY3422's goalkeeper Augusto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes, Mateus Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EDY3422 and the Carioca EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EDY3422 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mateus Medeiros hit a great ball. Sílvio Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Carioca EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
