Elias de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Carioca EC's Sydney Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oswaldo Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Carioca EC booed when Muliterno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iuri Guimarães was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 23rd minute Sydney Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Jacinto in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias de Moraes saved Carioca EC from getting behind. Muliterno's Oswaldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Zanette in the 32nd minute of play. Sydney Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Muliterno booed when Carioca EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vito Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulisses Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. Muliterno's Oswaldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Veiga in the 53rd minute of play. Elias de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulisses Motta in the 56th minute of the match. Elias de Moraes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulisses Motta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulisses Motta ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Iuri Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carioca EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iuri Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oswaldo Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. João Bertassi hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Sydney Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Ivo Berger notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Muliterno's Oswaldo Proença. Oswaldo Proença was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carioca EC fully deserved thier win.
