Spectators: 7234 (Terracing: 5427, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Ramiro Neiva started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Linus Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 9 played minutes Monlevade got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Vianna. Conrado Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Arthur Sousa sent off a good shot on target. Cleiton Teles came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio's Wágner Matos. But to his dismay, Wágner Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Monlevade's zone, Wágner Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleiton Teles came out of the goal and Wágner Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perico Speedtsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleiton Teles having to interfere. Rômulo Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Monlevade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute Ramiro Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Neiva was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Monlevade's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Linus Stålman struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Cleiton Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Matos in the 40th minute of play forced Monlevade's goalkeeper Cleiton Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio's Linus Stålman got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Benicio Hustaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Monlevade players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio were winning 0-2.

Benicio Hustaz scored 0-3 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cleiton Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd minute, Wágner Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benicio Hustaz fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio's protests and gave Benicio Hustaz a yellow card for diving instead. Cleiton Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Matos in the 70th minute of play. Wágner Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cleiton Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wágner Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. Linus Stålman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Cleiton Teles made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Monlevade's goalkeeper Cleiton Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Linus Stålman. Cleiton Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Linus Stålman went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Conrado Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Monlevade's Ramiro Neiva got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Grêmio's Gustav Håkansson got a free kick in the 85th minute. Benicio Hustaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Arthur Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monlevade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the match was over Grêmio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monlevade throughout the match.
