The supporters of FDS CLUB booed when Lapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FDS CLUB's Sydney Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Cardozo in the 15th minute of play. When Lapa's Carlos Cabral in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FDS CLUB's goalie prevented a goal. In the 20th minute, Jorge Costa made a precise shot to the right of Sérgio Urbano. Lapa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Dorival Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Cabral in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sydney Neves saved FDS CLUB from getting behind. Carlos Cabral struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Sydney Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapa. After a rather tough play, FDS CLUB's Geovanni Pires got a free kick in the 29th minute. Sydney Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Cabral went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FDS CLUB's zone, Carlos Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Neves came out of the goal and Carlos Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Edu Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FDS CLUB getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Naldo Dias hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute, Carlos Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Sydney Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, José Pedro Cardozo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Edu Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sydney Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cabral in the 67th minute of play forced FDS CLUB's goalkeeper Sydney Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Cabral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sydney Neves. That made the score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. Carlos Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes in the game, Carlos Cabral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sydney Neves having to interfere. When Lapa's Carlos Cabral in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FDS CLUB's goalie prevented a goal. Geovanni Monteiro's late challenge caught a Lapa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovanni Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, FDS CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Lapa left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FDS CLUB.
