Lapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateus Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateus Urbano made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Carlos Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Mateus Urbano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Cabral went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Ilhota getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Amauri Leal hit a great ball. Carlos Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Urbano having to interfere. José Pedro Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Urbano having to interfere. Mateus Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Cabral in the 32nd minute of the match. Celso Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ilhota's Celso Costa got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Dorival Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Cabrals short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Mateus Urbano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Claudinei Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mateus Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edu Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Urbano having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Jonas Zanette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilhota's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lapa the free kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Mateus Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lapa's José Pedro Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Urbano having to interfere. Edu Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mateus Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Costa was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 70th match minute, Ilhota was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Costa to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Carlos Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus Urbano was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Carlos Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateus Urbano having to make a save. 77 minutes into the match, José Pedro Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateus Urbano. Ilhota's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pedro Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When João Vítor Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilhota's protests and gave João Vítor Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. Mateus Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Cabral in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Ilhota booed when Lapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Vítor Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio Urbano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Vítor Gonçalves ran back to his position shaking his head. A sloppy throw-in by Jonas Zanette in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lapa's Jeferson Prata. The Lapa fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Lapa's Carlos Cabral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carlos Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mateus Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
