Benicio Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Linus Stålman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Wágner Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Artur Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Figueiredo having to interfere. Artur Gonçalves was a little too slow when Wágner Matos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 30th minute, Linus Stålman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Linus Stålman got free with Artur Gonçalves in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evaristo Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Evaristo Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Artur Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Matos in the 39th minute of the match. With his leg Artur Gonçalves managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Grêmio's Benicio Hustaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Linus Stålman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Linus Stålman in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerônimo Hoffmann to make the kick off. Michel Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Benicio Hustaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Fabinho Leal fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona's protests and gave Fabinho Leal a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Leal. After having played for 68 minutes, Wágner Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Paulo Bittencourt in the 70th minute. Artur Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Håkansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio's Linus Stålman got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Linus Stålman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Artur Gonçalves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wágner Matos struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Artur Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio. If Linus Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Artur Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Matos in the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Linus Stålman notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Barcelona's Artur Gonçalves. Artur Gonçalves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st minute, Jacinto Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benicio Hustaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
