In the 26thth minute of the game Fernandão Furlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vaca Veia's Guto Cosme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jano Koehler's late challenge caught a Ilhota's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jano Koehler helped the player get up and apologised. Jano Koehler was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 30 played minutes Vaca Veia got a freekick which was hit by Jano Koehler. Fernandão Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Cosme having to interfere. Eugênio de Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugênio de Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eugênio de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Guto Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão Furlan in the 43rd minute of the match. João Vítor Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Furlan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandão Furlan in the 88th minute of play forced Vaca Veia's goalkeeper Guto Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If João Vítor Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
