After a rather tough play, Roceira's Bernardinho Lira got a free kick in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Roceira's zone, Luís Fernando Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Proença came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the game, Hudson Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATREVIDOS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roceira the free kick. 49 minutes into the match, Roceira's Bernardinho Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltazar Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardinho Lira to make the kick off. Cacá Proença came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by ATREVIDOS F.C's Luís Fernando Alagoano. But to his dismay, Luís Fernando Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cacá Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Rocha in the 77th minute of the match. Cacá Proença made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Luís Fernando Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
