Igor Reis's late challenge caught a Magu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Reis helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Goias EC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Reis. In the 32nd play minute Kléberson Silva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Gaúcho. 2-0. The supporters of Magu SC booed when Goias EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Elano Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Goias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Tinoco came free, but João Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Magu SC's Reginaldo Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Prado in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Goias EC booed when Magu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes in the game, Matheus Prado fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reginaldo Camargo having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Goias EC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Teles. 64 minutes into the match, Goias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Silva came free, but João Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Décio Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. João Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Reis got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Igor Reis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Elano Freire struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. João Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magu SC. Magu SC's Décio Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Goias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Ortiz came free, but João Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
