The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Angelo do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elói Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Dante having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Luvirtual's zone, Elói Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Dante came out of the goal and Elói Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Barathinaikos's Evaristo Furtado got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Matheus Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 23 minutes, Elói Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barathinaikos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deivid Galvão hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Franklin Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Barathinaikos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
