After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Michel Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pindamonhangaba VC's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reginaldo Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Magu SC's Reginaldo Camargo got control of the ball when Dudu Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pindamonhangaba VC's Flavinho Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Tinoco in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Cafu Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perivaldo Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Maranhense in the 17th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Edgar Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Magu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Sarmento came free, but Reginaldo Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Carioca took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginaldo Camargo. Reginaldo Camargo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Reginaldo Camargo made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dudu Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cafu Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. Reginaldo Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Pindamonhangaba VC booed when Magu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Waldemar Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magu SC's protests and gave Waldemar Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Magu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Waldir da Fonseca sped through Magu SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reginaldo Camargo. Reginaldo Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pindamonhangaba VC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
