Nestor Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Camargo having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Régis Alcântara notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Magu SC's Reginaldo Camargo. Reginaldo Camargo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Magu SC defense, Edvaldo Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reginaldo Camargo. The Magu SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reginaldo Camargo should have stopped the shot. Tadeu Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeu Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Atletico Malagoli SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Vargas to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Magu SC's Décio Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reginaldo Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Edvaldo Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magu SC's Reginaldo Camargo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 played minutes Magu SC got a freekick which was hit by Elano Freire. Reginaldo Camargo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Reginaldo Camargo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ronaldo de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. Magu SC's Reginaldo Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Magu SC from getting a goal against them. If Waldemar Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Malagoli SC's Nestor Pires slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reginaldo Camargo. That made the score 0-5 after 79 minutes of play. When Nestor Pires fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Malagoli SC's protests and gave Nestor Pires a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atletico Malagoli SC's Nestor Pires got a free kick in the 87th minute. Magu SC's Décio Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guilherme de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Ortiz in the 97th minute of play. Atletico Malagoli SC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Magu SC's much stronger midfield.
