The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Matos got free with Artur Salgado in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 played minutes, Mauaense FC's Afonso Zanette shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Pedro Trevisan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mauaense FC reached it. Osvaldinho de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. João Pedro Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Mauaense FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Danilo Matorin hit a great ball. Michel Matos in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Artur Salgado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 34th minute Michel Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Salgado was a little too slow when Michel Matos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jacareí United Club's João Pedro Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexsandro Fonseca in the 43rd minute of play. Michel Matos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Artur Salgado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Michel Matos made the kick off in the second half. Afonso Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. João Pedro Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henning Ryberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Salgado having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Danilo Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Osvaldinho de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Mauaense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldinho de Moraes couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléber Alcântara during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mauaense FC's Kléber Alcântara got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Matos in the 83rd minute of play forced Mauaense FC's goalkeeper Artur Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Salgado came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacareí United Club's Michel Matos. But to his dismay, Michel Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Artur Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Osvaldinho de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. João Pedro Trevisan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mauaense FC. Henning Ryberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henning Ryberg ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jacareí United Club fully deserved thier win.
