Sandrinho Leme started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Moraes in the 6th minute of play forced Baumart Team's goalkeeper Juninho Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caraiva's Genílson Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Dadá Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Baumart Team's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Leme came free, but Juninho Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Cardozo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Baumart Team's Túlio Veloso got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Genílson Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genílson Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Juninho Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Leme in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Túlio Veloso charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Túlio Veloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Baumart Team getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Túlio Veloso hit a great ball. Genílson Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Sarmento having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Genílson Moraes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Baumart Team's Juninho Sarmento. Juninho Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Botelho was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson Moraes got free with Juninho Sarmento in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the game, Genílson Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Juninho Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sandrinho Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caraiva's Genílson Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Genílson Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caraiva fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thiago Berger's late challenge caught a Baumart Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Berger helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caraiva's Thiago Berger got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Caraiva's Genílson Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Baumart Team's Jonas Botelho got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Sandrinho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute.
