Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuca Cunha started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Samuel Maranhense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cara EC's Marcus Pena. Marcus Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuca Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Trevisan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Cacá Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Aloísio Camargo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Trevisan. Guaycara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Mateus de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Cara EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus de Lima couldn't finish the play. Samuca Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Cláudio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateus de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Cunha in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Cara EC were awarded a corner. Pedro Pontes went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cara EC's corner Marcelinho Gerber fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cláudio Trevisan quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guaycara's zone, Samuca Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Trevisan came out of the goal and Samuca Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aloísio Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cláudio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Guaycara's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Cunha came free, but Cláudio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateus de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuca Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cláudio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Samuel Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaycara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Samuca Cunha from a close distance when the talented Cláudio Trevisan managed to make a qualified save. Guaycara's players were relieved. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Maranhense to make the kick off. After 58 played minutes, Cara EC's Marcelinho Gerber shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cláudio Trevisan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cara EC reached it. Samuca Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cláudio Trevisan having to make a save. Samuca Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Trevisan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Cunha in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cláudio Trevisan came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Cara EC's Mateus de Lima. But to his dismay, Mateus de Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mateus de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cláudio Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Samuca Cunha put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Cláudio Trevisan. Cara EC's Samuca Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Guaycara's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus de Lima came free, but Cláudio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matheus das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Samuca Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuca Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Trevisan having to interfere. Cara EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
