Erik Quirino came out of the goal and Claudinho Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Tomé Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Carlos Alberto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cauã Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Guilherme Ramalho hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Caviuna EC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Sergipano came free, but Ademir Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauã Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Saldanha made a kick off. Erik Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Caviuna EC's Ademir Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Sergipano in the 61st minute of play. When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Caviuna EC's Geovânio Baiano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Erik Quirino. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Jacaresinho FC. Osmar Custódio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ademir Tróia. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Jacaresinho FC's Jonas Moreira got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, João Francisco Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademir Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Moraes in the 86th minute of play. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jonas Moreira sped through Caviuna EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ademir Tróia. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jacaresinho FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caviuna EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
