Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sandrinho Leme made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the game, Itacurussa's Evaristo Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Alvarenga in the 7th minute of play forced Caraiva's goalkeeper Rubinho Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Dino Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Artur dos Santos made a huge save. In the 12th minute, Sandrinho Leme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur dos Santos. The goal made the score 1-1. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Sandrinho Leme took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Artur dos Santos to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Itacurussa booed when Caraiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubinho Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Caraiva's Thiago Berger got a free kick in the 30th minute. Evaristo Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rubinho Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itacurussa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Sandrinho Leme scored to the left of an out of position Artur dos Santos, making the score, 5-1. Artur dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.
Genílson Moraes took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur dos Santos. Artur dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Itacurussa's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Leme came free, but Artur dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caraiva fully deserved thier win.
