Baumart Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaycara the free kick. The supporters of Guaycara booed when Baumart Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Carioca, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Samuel Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Sarmento having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Maranhense was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Maranhense struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Juninho Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guaycara. Samuel Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Juninho Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Guaycara getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Matheus das Neves hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
