Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Caraiva's Sandrinho Leme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Samuca Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson Moraes got free with Marcus Pena in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The goalkeeper, Marcus Pena, was totally fooled by Caraiva's Tiago Gabriel Proença, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cara EC's Marcus Pena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Cara EC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Caraiva's Marcus Pena threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dino Vidal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 30th minute Samuca Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cara EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ezequiel Breckenfeld hit a great ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Genílson Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caraiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Sandrinho Leme in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Genílson Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Marcus Pena made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuca Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. If Samuca Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Caraiva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Vidal to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cara EC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cacá Bezerra hit a great ball. Sandrinho Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Samuca Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cacá Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Gerber having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Leme in the 87th minute of play forced Cara EC's goalkeeper Marcus Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aloísio Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cacá Bezerra during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cara EC's Cacá Bezerra got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Genílson Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caraiva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cara EC the free kick. The supporters of Cara EC booed when Caraiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genílson Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caraiva's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
