Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomé Sergipano started the match with the kick off. A hard and well directed shot from Osmar Custódio led 6 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Beverni's Hílton Tepedino became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. Hílton Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Sergipano in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacaresinho FC's goalkeeper Erik Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Tomé Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cauã Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomé Sergipano in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Tepedino saved Beverni from getting behind. When Dráuzio Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacaresinho FC's protests and gave Dráuzio Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Dráuzio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Jacaresinho FC's Cauã Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Tepedino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hílton Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauã Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36thth minute of the game Cauã Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beverni's Hílton Tepedino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute, João Augusto Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 played minutes, Jacaresinho FC's Osmar Custódio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hílton Tepedino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacaresinho FC reached it. Cauã Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hílton Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Beverni getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Dadá Loureiro hit a great ball. When Jacaresinho FC's Tomé Sergipano in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Beverni's goalie prevented a goal. Jacaresinho FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Osmar Custódio in the 46th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Carlos Augusto Salgado heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percival Tasso made a kick off. Tomé Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hílton Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tomé Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacaresinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hílton Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cauã Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrão Abraão's late challenge caught a Jacaresinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrão Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. Pedrão Abraão hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Osmar Custódio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Beverni's Hílton Tepedino didn't even have to move. When Dadá Loureiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. The supporters of Jacaresinho FC booed when Beverni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauã Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Tomé Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacaresinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomé Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacaresinho FC's Tomé Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Moreira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Hílton Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacaresinho FC. 81 minutes into the match, Beverni's goalkeeper Hílton Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã Moraes. Cauã Moraes took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Tepedino. Hílton Tepedino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tomé Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Augusto Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Augusto Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Jacaresinho FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Beverni throughout the match.
