The Cara EC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Cara EC's Samuca Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Cara EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Pena should have stopped the shot. After having played for 84 minutes, Samuca Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caviuna EC's Renato Rosa pulled a muscle in his leg after 90 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Cacá Bezerra's late challenge caught a Caviuna EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. Cacá Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Claudinho Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cara EC played a much better game than Caviuna EC and deserved their victory. The Caviuna EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
