A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Caviuna EC's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Tasso came free, but Ademir Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dadá Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beverni's protests and gave Dadá Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Beverni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Francisco Barral during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Caviuna EC got a freekick which was hit by João Francisco Barral. If Percival Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Beverni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caviuna EC's Ademir Tróia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Caviuna EC from getting a goal against them. In the 94th minute Percival Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caviuna EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beverni had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
