Germano Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Deivid Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Arí Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SoberanosFC's zone, Arí Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Simão came out of the goal and Arí Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 minutes of play SoberanosFC's Pedrinho Damião was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Divino booed when SoberanosFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 minutes, Walmir da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SoberanosFC and the Divino players grew even worse after the yellow card.
