After 11 played minutes Ibiquitaba AD got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Fernandez. After having played for 13 minutes, Matheus Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARNONI 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matheus Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Eliseu Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. ARNONI 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ARNONI 4EVER's goalkeeper Dedê Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matheus Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dário Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedê Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Hoffmann in the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Ibiquitaba AD getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Matías Lopes hit a great ball. Nelsinho Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. In the 51st minute Márcio Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Hoffmann to make the kick off. Nelsinho Hoffmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedê Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelsinho Hoffmann ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Nelsinho Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Márcio Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Dedê Rossi made a huge save. In the 79th minute Eliseu Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eliseu Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
