Sílvio Luís Brodel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Alonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Jacurutu AD's goalkeeper Cipriano Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Lago. Fernando Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Pires in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Mário Lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cipriano Linhares. Jacurutu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cipriano Linhares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hudson Correia went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 21 played minutes, Jacurutu AD's Didi Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Alonso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jacurutu AD reached it. Fernando Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tostão Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hudson Correia in the 29th minute. Kiko Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Alonso having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Hudson Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fernando Alonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tostão Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Juan Blasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 52 minutes into the game, Manchester Cic's Hudson Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cipriano Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 55 played minutes Jacurutu AD got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Ortiz. 68 minutes into the match, Tostão Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Alonso. Manchester Cic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tostão Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After a rather tough play, Manchester Cic's Hudson Correia got a free kick in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Jacurutu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Correia came free, but Cipriano Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Augusto Ortiz hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Bengt Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Didi Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tostão Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson Correia in the 80th minute of play. Hudson Correia scored 5-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Linhares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacurutu AD's Cipriano Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Lago in the 92nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Jacurutu AD's Fernando Alonso threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tostão Pires, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cipriano Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Correia in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester Cic had won after a very even match.
