Geovanni Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardinho Rodrigues having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Bocasil's zone, Geovanni Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardinho Rodrigues came out of the goal and Geovanni Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind SoberanosFC's goalkeeper Deivid Simão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 13 in the game by Geovanni Braga from a close distance when the talented Ricardinho Rodrigues managed to make a qualified save. Bocasil's players were relieved. Kauã Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid Simão having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, SoberanosFC's goal looked a bit too open when André Leme came free, but Deivid Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deivid Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Leme in the 33rd minute of play. Flávio Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bocasil's Flávio Varela got a free kick in the 38th minute. When Flávio Varela came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Bocasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Varela couldn't finish the play. SoberanosFC's Deivid Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Loyola in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Bocasil's André Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Deivid Simão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deivid Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Leme in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, SoberanosFC's goalkeeper Deivid Simão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauã Loyola. After a defensive mix-up in SoberanosFC's zone, André Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Simão came out of the goal and André Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kauã Loyola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Deivid Simão having to make a save. Deivid Simão was a little too slow when André Leme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 68th minute Donato Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardinho Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir da Costa in the 72nd minute of play forced Bocasil's goalkeeper Ricardinho Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deivid Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Leme in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kauã Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bocasil's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauã Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deivid Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kauã Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Kauã Loyola notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SoberanosFC's Deivid Simão. Deivid Simão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 91 played minutes SoberanosFC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Damião. The long shot by Luisão Coutinho in the 92nd minute really tested Deivid Simão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 94 played minutes Bocasil got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Varela. When Geovanni Braga came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SoberanosFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanni Braga couldn't finish the play. The Bocasil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bocasil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
