Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernani Barbosa started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Ernani Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Marcos Arantes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Taitinga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Válbson Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo da Mata came out of the goal and Válbson Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Válbson Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Raimundo da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taitinga FC. After 16 played minutes Taitinga FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Souto. 18 minutes into the game, Emílio Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taitinga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United the free kick. If Nicolas Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raimundo da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Taitinga FC's Evaristo Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Ramalho in the 37th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo da Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Marcos Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo da Mata having to interfere. Raimundo da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Nicolas Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. Carlinhos Azevedo's late challenge caught a Manchester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlinhos Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Taitinga FC! The referee gave Manchester United a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Samuca Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taitinga FC's Luizinho Botelho. 2-1. If Marcos Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Evaristo Eger came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Taitinga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Eger couldn't finish the play. Evaristo Eger received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raimundo da Mata came out and tried to block the shot, but Evaristo Eger slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 73rd minute. 78 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Ramalho. In the 79th minute of the match Taitinga FC got a corner. Manchester United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Válbson Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Nicolas Silva to score against Raimundo da Mata in Manchester United's goal. 2-5 after 79 minutes. If Válbson Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Ramalho in the 87th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Silva came free, but Raimundo da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Evaristo Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo da Mata. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. If Válbson Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Evaristo Eger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Taitinga FC! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Manchester United. Samuca Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luizinho Botelho. 3-7. When the match was over Taitinga FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manchester United throughout the match.
