The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Arantes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Taitinga FC's Marcos Arantes got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Cococa SC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Brodel. In the 37th minute Válbson Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Nicolas Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taitinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válbson Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erasmo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Koehler having to interfere. Taitinga FC's Evaristo Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cococa SC's zone, Evaristo Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerônimo Koehler came out of the goal and Evaristo Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Silva got free with Jerônimo Koehler in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerônimo Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Eger's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Marcos Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taitinga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerônimo Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cococa SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Válbson Ramalho 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Nicolas Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jerônimo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Taitinga FC booed when Cococa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jerônimo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cococa SC's Jerônimo Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Ramalho in the 80th minute of play. Nicolas Silva in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jerônimo Koehler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cococa SC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Juninho Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taitinga FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
