Silvério Soares's late challenge caught a Carlton Blends's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvério Soares helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes MckarttneyFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Soares. Nico Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nicolas Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nilmar Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the MckarttneyFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Mendonça couldn't finish the play. The supporters of MckarttneyFC booed when Carlton Blends was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, MckarttneyFC's Gugu Leão tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Humberto Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nicolas Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Carlton Blends got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Chaves. In the 36th match minute, Carlton Blends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Alves stood somewhat misplaced when Raí Pinho came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. Nicolas Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Barbosa in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Pinho in the 48th minute of play forced Carlton Blends's goalkeeper Enrique Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raí Pinho was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, João Francisco Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MckarttneyFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carlton Blends the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Vieira got free with Nicolas Mandrak in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Guerra in the 88th minute of play forced Carlton Blends's goalkeeper Enrique Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Nilmar Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carlton Blends players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MckarttneyFC.
