Nicolas Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. Ernani Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Mandrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. João Francisco Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nicolas Mandrak came out of the goal and Ernani Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manchester United's Raimundo da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Pinho in the 40th minute of play. Ernani Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes of play, Manchester United's Richard Ceresso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, MckarttneyFC's João Francisco Guerra got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernani Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. When Ronaldinho Severo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MckarttneyFC's protests and gave Ronaldinho Severo a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes MckarttneyFC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Severo. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 58 played minutes, Manchester United's Charles Faria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Mandrak came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester United reached it. Nilmar Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Silvério Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nilmar Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Barbosa in the 88th minute of the match.
